What are NOUNS?

Nouns are names of people, places, animals and things. 

Example: man, chair, house, tree, chart, Nancy, Charlie, rice, guitar, dog, goat 

 Common Nouns and Proper Nouns. 

Common Nouns names general noun such as boy, girl, church, hat, sea.

Proper Nouns are specific nouns that identifies a specific person or thing.

Examples: 

 Robert - is a specific name for a boy so it is a proper noun. 

Jamaica- is a specific name for a country so it is also a proper noun. Proper nouns should always start with a capital letter.
